Adopt-A-School

Highland Elementary School children

In September 2006, CAPA proudly adopted Highland Elementary in the Hilltop area of Columbus and in September 2007 added Walnut Ridge High School to our program. All of the students at Highland and Walnut Ridge are eligible to attend performances at CAPA venues, see performances and workshops in their school and use study guides provided by CAPA to better their understanding of the arts. CAPA provides all tickets, transportation, study materials and in-school sessions to the school. Hundreds of kids have been involved at all grade levels.  Shows have included:  A Christmas Carol, Crowns, Big Apple Circus, The Secret Garden, La Boheme, Tango Fire, and Cinderella.  Workshops have included:  Second City, a Phoenix Theatre for Children workshop, Harlem Gospel Choir, TS Monk, and Edgar Meyer.
