In an after-school program, an eleven-year-old boy discovers something about dance, and something about himself.

A member of a senior center, living on a fixed income, receives a complimentary ticket to a world-class performance.

A family that has never attended live theater gets a feel for the experience through a visit in its own neighborhood, then goes together to see a great show.

These are some of the experiences provided by the Shubert Theater's Education and Outreach programs. As a major not-for-profit resource, the Shubert provides arts, entertainment and educational opportunities to a wide array of people throughout the state. Through its comprehensive education and outreach programs, the Shubert removes obstacles of age, poverty and isolation, so that no one need be excluded from the magic of live performance
