The Jimmy® Awards

The National High School Musical Theatre Awards™ (the Jimmy® Awards) are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theatre arts education in schools. The Jimmy Awards are presented by The Broadway League Foundation.

Schools planning to compete must present a musical production listed on the document of Qualifying Roles. Adjudicators will attend a performance of the production to rate performers and productions.

Preliminary Timeline

Spring 2018 schools will be contacted announcing CAPA’s presentation of the Jimmy Awards

Fall 2018 - Invitations to participate will be sent to schools

Winter/Spring 2019 - Adjudicators will attend school musical productions to score performances.

Spring 2019 – The CAPA Jimmy Awards will take place at the Lincoln Theatre.
