Being Eñye
Event Info
As part of National Hispanic Heritage Month, CAPA will hold a special screening of "Being Eñye," a 2015 documentary short by Denise Soler-Cox and Henry Ansbacher.
Framed by the personal experiences of co-creator Soler-Cox, the 37-minute, story-driven short examines the complexities of being a first generation, American-born Latino. Known as Eñyes (ñ)s, this generation of 16 million—born and living in the US, but with parents from Spanish-speaking countries—often struggles to find their identity and navigate both cultures.
Immediately following the screening, Soler-Cox will participate in a moderated audience Q&A.
