BELOVED COLUMBUS HOLIDAY TRADITION A CHRISTMAS CAROL TO PLAY THE OHIO THEATRE NOVEMBER 28-30
A beloved Columbus holiday tradition returns for 2025, as CAPA, in collaboration with Short North Stage, presents A Christmas Carol live on stage in the Ohio Theatre over Thanksgiving weekend. Created and produced in Columbus, it’s a festive way for families to kick off the season together.
Directed by Short North Stage Artistic Director Edward Carignan, the show features a talented cast of local and national performers and brings the spirit of the season to life on one of the city’s most iconic stages.
This original production of the classic Dickens tale blends familiar holiday elements with fresh theatrical touches, including dance and musical moments and beloved carols woven throughout. The production artfully recreates both the poverty and luxury of 19th-century London as a backdrop to the fable of Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely man who is given the rarest of gifts — the chance to change his life and find his heart.
Tickets go on sale Friday, July 25, at 10 am and can be purchased in-person at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), online at www.capa.com, and by phone at (614) 469-0939. Tickets start at $26.
Show times are 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29; and 2 pm Sunday, November 30.
“CAPA is excited to continue working with Short North Stage to bring A Christmas Carol to Columbus audiences. We’re proud to have this locally-made — from the ground up — production and believe that audiences will continue to treasure it as a special part of their holiday season for years to come,” CAPA President & CEO Chad Whittington said.
