Cher stars as a widow who inconveniently falls in love with her fiancé’s younger brother. Loretta agrees to marry Johnny, even though she doesn’t actually love him, and when he goes to Italy to visit his mother, he asks Loretta to invite his estranged brother Ronny to the wedding. She goes to his bakery, but instead of delivering the invitation, they find themselves hopelessly attracted to each other, and Loretta is forced to choose between stability and love. Cher and Dukakis earned Oscars for their performances.
