Description
African Night is a large, region-wide cultural showcase that celebrates the diversity, creativity, and unity of African cultures. The event provides a platform for alumni, current students, faculty, and members of the greater OSU and Midwestern African student community to come together in an authentic and inclusive space. The program features a variety of live performances, including traditional and contemporary dance, singing, spoken word and poetry, a fashion showcase, and a flag walk/flag ceremony that represents unity across African nations. African Student Organizations from neighboring universities are invited to participate alongside OSU students, creating a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere. African Night consistently draws strong community engagement and serves as a major cultural highlight on campus.
