Casablanca (1943)

Revisit Rick’s, the most popular gin joint in Morocco in the perennial favorite Casablanca. Humphrey Bogart is Rick, a bar owner who, despite his cynical front, provides refuge for Europeans attempting to flee ahead of the Nazi occupation of early World War II. But when his former lover Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) and her husband are among those attempting to escape, Rick has to decide if his bitterness will prevent him from helping them. The stakes are raised even higher as Ilsa confesses she is still in love with Rick and her husband is arrested, clearing the way for the lovers to leave Casablanca behind. With the Nazis closing in and time running out, Rick and Ilsa are faced with a choice that will change their lives.
