GRAMMY® Award–winning ensemble Chanticleer—hailed as “the world’s reigning male chorus” (The New Yorker)—brings its signature blend of precision, warmth, and expressive power to their program celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Join Chanticleer as they trace the rich and intertwined traditions of American vocal music, from African American spirituals and gospel to barbershop, bluegrass, and vocal jazz. Centerpiece of the evening is a new commission by composer Trevor Weston, illuminating the deep connections between traditional hymns and Black spiritual traditions.
