In the distant future, the universe’s most valuable substance is only found on the dangerous desert planet, Arrakis. The noble Atreides family has been given control over the planet, for reasons only known to the universe’s emperor. After an assassination attempt, the Duke’s son flees into the desert and finds sanctuary with the inhabitants, who believe he is there to fulfill their prophecy. Together, they mount a revolution against the corrupt ruling class in David Lynch’s version of the sci-fi classic.
