A Columbus world premiere, Ordinary Woman reimagines Grammy-winner Sheryl Crow’s most powerful songs – from “Steve McQueen” to “Strong Enough” – through drama, ballet, and live on-stage orchestra.
When estranged midwestern sisters Abilene and Rosalyn are forced back together by environmental and social unrest, they must reconcile conflicting memories of the past while confronting the fragile nature of freedom and the hidden toll of postpartum depression.
Made in Columbus by a local team, including BalletMet artistic director Remi Wörtmeyer, Ordinary Woman is a very special collaboration between CAPA, BalletMet and ODD Continent.
