Description

Join Assistant Conductor Elias Miller for a charming chamber music performance. Dvořák’s Serenade for Winds, reminiscent of his Slavonic Dances, evokes the atmosphere of an old-World castle. Richard Strauss’s intimate suite for thirteen wind instruments is an early work from the master who would become known for epic tone poems and operas. Rising star composer Sam Wu writes music that “abounds in delicate colours, wisps of sound and sylvan textures” (Gramophone).
