The Princess Bride (1987)

When a young boy is sick, his grandfather arrives with a book to distract him, and the boy reluctantly agrees, as long as it’s not a “kissing book.” Instead, he is transported to the fairy tale country of Florian, where a farmer’s daughter is being forced to marry Prince Humperdinck after her true love is lost at sea. But the Dread Pirate Roberts has other plans, and she will learn that sword fights, fire swamps, outlaws, diabolical plots, and even death cannot stop true love.
