To stop one serial killer, F.B.I. trainee Clarice Starling (Jodi Foster) is drawn into a battle of wits with another, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Sir Anthony Hopkins), held in isolation for eight years for his string of murdering and cannibalizing his victims. As Lecter gives her riddles to solve, and forces her to recount her childhood trauma in return, time is running out to stop Buffalo Bill, who has killed six victims. The stakes are raised when he abducts a daughter of a senator as his seventh victim, and Starling finds herself diving deeper into the twisted mind of Lecter to understand Buffalo Bill’s. When Lecter escapes, Starling finds herself unraveling the mind of two serial killers in a race against time to stop Buffalo Bill and find Lecter.
