Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre, Riffe Center

A Modern Space

Managed by CAPA, this state-of-the-art, 903-seat facility opened in 1989 as part of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts. It offers intimate performance experiences including CAPA presentations of comedy, music, dance, theater, family entertainment, and cultural programming.

In addition, BalletMet, The Columbus Gay Men's Chorus, The Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, and The Ohio State University Department of Dance all perform regularly at the Davidson Theatre.

Formerly known as the Capitol Theatre, this 903-seat venue in the Vern Riffe Center for Government & the Arts was renamed in 2016 to the Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre in honor of the first female speaker of Ohio’s House of Representatives.
