Framed by brothers Jonathan and Lukas Schwarz on first violin and cello and joined by Amelie Wallner on second violin and Mayu Konoe on viola, Leonkoro is among the most esteemed ensembles of their generation. Recipients of the MERITO String Quartet Award, the Young Talent Award of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust, the quartet has an “enormous stage presence” and “takes full risks” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, January 2022). Hear their triumphant interpretations of beloved composers including Haydn and Mendelssohn.
